February 1, 2018 (Golf Club of the Everglades (FL))
In the second round of the Minny Tour - Des rides a hot front to a 2 shot win over Min. Min shot better than his age and had the low gross. Magnificent private course in great condition with fast greens similar to Innisbrook.

In the third round of the Minny Tour - Mike birdies the first 2 holes and pulls away on the back for a 3 shot win over Ron. This was our second round at this magnificent private course in great condition with fast greens similar to Innisbrook. We had the same forecaddie on both rounds - a young guy who has played the Asian tour and he could really read putts.

In the fourth and final round of the Minny Tour - Ron starts with a birdie and wins by 3 over Mike. We played 6085 yards with a 130 slope - plenty of forced carry tee shots and water in play. The next set of tees was 6652 and we would have had a lot of trouble with the tee shots which were almost all over water.

Opening day of the mini florida swing, not great golf played, but the travel time to the course was excellent. Schuler wins by 4.
February 8, 2018 (Twin Eagles - Eagle Combo (FL))
Thanks to our friend and wonderful driver of the golf ball Cora , we played her Twin Eagles-Eagle course. Lots of sand, water and tough elevated greens. Jim Petronchak wins by 10 avoiding the big hole round killer.
February 9, 2018 (Twin Eagles - Talon Combo (FL))
Round 2 at twin Eagles - (Thanks Again to Cora) this time the Talon course - home to the Champions Tour Chubb Classic, being played this week. Despite several big numbers Jim Petronchak edges Mark Schuler on the back of some timely birdies. Very tough track, beautiful shape - again lots of bunkers, water, tough greens and some interesting hole layouts.
February 10, 2018 (Twin Eagles - Eagle Combo (FL))
Last day at Twin Eagles - back to the Eagle course. Jim P wins by 11 over Mr. Schuler and 16 over Mr. Minutello as several big numbers added up for them.

Four golfers dodge the rain while the 'Minny Tour' enjoys the Florida weather.
February 12, 2018 (Cypress Woods - III (FL))
The gang traveled to meet Greg at his course. Although short at 5500 +yards, this course is an ass kicker. Out of bounds, water and lateral hazards abound, most had problems on both side- not to mention small, fast, undulating greens. Gave us all we could handle. Jim Petronchak wins by 4 over our host, whose 12 on one hole spoiled an otherwise solid round. The second and winning greenie was a 250 yard uphill par 4, one of several risk/reward holes on a tricky venue.

Jim Rinaldi shoots 1 under gross on the back nine including 3 birdies and wins by 5 over Reese and Mike. Petro recorded a Nowark Sandy and almost made another. Course was wet especially in the rough.

Quato holds off the hard charging Dave Perry on the back nine to win by three. Maybe, Maybe !
February 22, 2018 (Seaview - Bay)
Very windy with bumpy, fast greens made for tough scoring. We played the first 14 holes without a net birdie. One of the par threes was playing 237 and another over 200. JR and Mike tie but JP won the most money in skins with a 4-hole carryover win on the last par 3.

Min and Greg tie to beat Mike Rolph by 8 shots.
February 24, 2018 (Spooky Brook)
Dave perry wins by 5 over JR and MS (maybe-maybe). Vey sloppy and muddy, carry was everything. Will be nice to leave Spooky for a change next week.

Larry Thiry, realizing that the round would have no effect on his handicap, pulled out all the stops shooting 90/28/36/64 nipping out Min Minutello by 9 shots. Kevin Clark from our Senior League was our 4th. He might have been intimidated by having to give Larry 21 shots, as he didn't play very well.
