 March 23, 2016 (Quail Brook)

The day got nicer and nicer...starting as cloudy and breezy and 60....to sunny and calmer and 70.  The greens were very fast and some players struggled to keep the ball near the hole.  Jim Petronchak and Doug Conway tied for first with net 70.

March 19, 2016 (Quail Brook)

On a somewhat chilly day, Jim Rinaldi shoots Net Par for a 1 stroke victory.  Perry and Korleski finish in the basement for the 2nd week in a row.  Five of seven guys win the Greenie Pot with 1.

March 17, 2016 (Knob Hill)

Started in the 40s but warmed up nicely on the back.  Interesting course - with water all over the front and then almost no water on the back - like two different courses.  Jim Rinaldi gets a 3 shot win despite a few rough stretches.

March 16, 2016 (Quail Brook)

Small turnout for a nice day.  Played as a 5 some and did not hold anyone up.  Jim Petronchak shoots an even par round for net 65 and wins by 4 shots.  Dave calls it a poor 65.  Jim Rinaldi birdies the last 3 holes including a 30 footer on 18 only to be equaled by Jim Petronchak's 25 footer.  Fun was had with a skins game except for Mr. Schuler.  Quail was in good shape - enjoy Saturday and expect low scores.

March 12, 2016 (Spooky Brook)

Jim Rinaldi and Larry Thiry both shoot net 65's to tie for 1st place.  Based on the note Larry sent concerning Odds, it was much more difficult for Jim.  If only Larry didn't finish with two Triple Bogeys in the last 3 holes.  Dave Perry can't get to Tampa fast enough.

March 10, 2016 (Forsgate - Banks)

Ron Emma nips Jay Griffith by 1 but Jay is the big winner courtesy of an eagle on #5 - hole out on the #3 handicap hole.  Huge, deep bunkers and multi-tiered greens made scoring a challenge.

March 9, 2016 (Spooky Brook)

Great warm day, record temps.  FTDGA romps to a 8 stroke victory.  Claims it was because of a two month layoff.  Greens smooth and very fast.  Thiry brothers shot identical gross scores (oops not supposed to speak gross).  Bartender at Freddies is "mentally challenged" - 3 tries at the checks and still wrong - we need Sarah.

March 5, 2016 (Quail Brook)

Bruce Rapp wins by 2 over Bob Babetski who is probably still moaning about his 7 on 17 after a great drive.  Scores were generally lower on the semi-frozen front nine before the course softened on the back nine.  Prospective member Matt Smoot made another appearance at the bar as well.  Other than a big number on #1 (4 bunkers ping-pong style - 5 if you count the fairway bunker) he played pretty steady.

March 3, 2016 (Heather Glen)

Congrats to Jay Griffith and Jim Rinaldi - they stopped Mike Jeffries Winter League win streak with 72's.  The tees were way back so it was playing close to 6500 yards and the fairways were soft so very little carry.  Many of the par 4's were driver, wood and then a 30 yard pitch.
