Jim wins easily by 5 over George thanks to his short game including his Wingman putter. Mike finishes last but almost makes the plus column with by winning or tying 6 pots. It was a hot day at times and at other times a nice breeze - we finished in just over 4 hours and never had anyone in front or behind us - a "Rinaldi Round".

Spooky Brook was in much better shape than Green Knoll. The fairways were actually green but hard and there still was a lot of run. Rick Newport was consistent all day and really made it look easy. He beat out Bruce Rapp by one stroke with a Net 69, Net 35 on the front and won the back with a Net 34. He shot a gross 77. He won Birdies, Net Birdies and was in the Greenies and Par 3 Gross Pots as well.
Bruce Rapp finished 2nd with a Net 70, came in 1st on the front with a Net 31 and won the Sandies Pot with 2.
GreenKnoll was long ball paradise for all those who don't hit a long ball. The fairways were brown and hard. There was easily 30-40 yards of roll. This is just what Fitz needed. He came out guns blazing. After 7 he was -8 Net and never looked back. He shot a Net 32 on the front and Net 36 on the back, winning by four strokes with a Net 68. He had 13 Nets and 4 Net Eagles.
The one pot that seems to be his wasn't yesterday as Min won Net Par 3's with a Net 10. Other noteables was Jim Petronchak with 2 Birdies and 13 on the Gross Par 3's. He won the back with a Net 35 and tied the Sandies pot with 1.
Perfect weather for cameo visits from the southern boys Dave Perry and Gary Yusko
Babo beats Petro and the Kman by 1 stroke and wins World Series # 5 ! Congratulations Bob. !!
Babo got out to an early lead with a net (30) on the front ... JimP birdied 10 and 12 but his comeback falls 1 shot short (33).
Babo also won net birds (12). Dennis Grote wins the sandy pot with (3) !! And Greg Cavallo cashes in on the Par 3's.
In Match play JimP defeats Jim Rinaldi 2 up and The Bobbies defeat Greg and Ed (+1)

Hot and Steamy day for the World Series warm up. It was the EddieK and George Canfield Show !! Tee boxes were in their weekday locations. Ed wins by 2 shots and wins birdies, net birdies and the front nine. George cashes in on the Par 3's. Bruce wins the Sandy pot. Dave P makes a cameo DGA appearance. Another great day on the course !
HOT and HUMID at Spooky but another great day on the course !! Billy Bylina beats Rick Newport by 2 and another $100+ day. Congratulations Billy ! Billy finished with 3 birdies on 15, 16 and 17 and shoots 31 on the back. 70 gross ! WOW. Billy wins the back nine, Birdies (4) net birdies (8). Charlie wins net eagles (2) and Eddie K has the only sandy. Cards are very difficult to read. Let me know if I missed anything. In match play, Dennis and Charlie played to a tie after a nice comeback by Denny.
Highlights include two imposters showing up in place of Geoge Canfield and Mark Schuler. And my favorite .. FT DGA driving back to the group behind him to retrieve lost items ... twice ! Once for clubs and once for the towel he stole from Marriott. Play was slow so two visits to Frank's group included him combing his hair and a photo op. IF you decide to open the attacnment, just remember you cannot un see it.
Hot and Humid. Course is running fast. Bruce beats Greg by 2. Great day on the course !
