The winners keep on rolling up big $ wins. Billy wins $104 with a 2-shot win over the ageless one. Billy had 3 birdies and 3 net eagles and narrowly missed a couple of other close birdies. Beautiful weather after a cool start. Ed and Greg survive a shaky 18th to win one up in a partner's qualifying match. Frank was wishing his mercy rule had passed at the annual meeting - after dumping 4? in the lake on 17 he packed it in. One player to be named later was ready to break his putter after a 4 jack on 14. This same player went out of his way to put a new shaft on MJ's driver after he snapped it on Tuesday trying to get his bag off a cart. Can't make this stuff up. Although it was a 3 wood shaft MJ thinks he might keep this shortened version. We went to the Stage House and since they are giving the second beer free for golfers looks like our new home away from home! Plus, the bartenders actually know what they are doing!
A not so bad day on the course with some negligible drizzle on the front. Another big day for Italo Minutello. He wins by 2 over Dan Price. Min ties for second on the front and back and gets a piece of net birds, net eagles and greenies as well as a net 8 on the par 3s. Greg Cavallo goes in to the mens room after nine and puts on his superman cape with a net 44 - 31 good johnny. In partners, Min leads Ceggy Jr and the Italian Stallions to another win (+4) over Rapp and Grote.
Under Doug's "cant make this stuff up" category." LT got his cart stuck in the green knoll mud on 13. JimR and Mark Shu had to fish him out. JimP supervised. In case you missed it Min played from the Blues. Mrs Newport played from the Nine and Wine Tees. Congratulations Min !!! nothing else to say except no f'ing way... I mean Nice Shooting !
Rick cruises to another big win $97.50 with 4 birdies and winning the front and back plus the net birdie and net eagle pot. All of this while playing from the senior tees. JP chips in for birdie twice including the 9th hole when he was over the green and essentially dead except with a perfect shot which he pulled off. At least one of the guys who played from the senior tees vowed never to do that again. "I can shoot crappy scores from the blue tees just as easily." Bunkers were in bad shape so it was good to play lift clean and place. Ron Jr played a qualifying round and shot net 84.

Rick shoots lights out to win by 4 over Jim R. Another big day for the winner this week with $133. Jim R gets $35 for his 69. The most common thing people were saying on these bumpy greens was "hit the f---ing ball". Interesting that only Fitz elected to play the Senior tees but it sure looked like it could have been an advantage to move up. Ron JR and Min defeat the Bobbies in a Partners match. Greg shot 72 , Andrew 77 and MJ 76 in Match Play qualifying rounds.

Min the Magnificent continues his hot streak with a 4-shot win over Jim R on a very warm and windy day at NV. Dave hit the par 5 4th on Meadow in 2 (into the wind) but was unable to convert the eagle. The greens have not healed from the aerations so many bumpy putts and missed short ones.
Ron JR blows away the field (except Babo) with a net 68 on a cold day with rain and wind. He started out red hot - 1 under gross after 5 - then the rain came and he cooled off but finished strong for a Big $121 win. He also is the first qualifier for World Series. Babo has a hot front and wins $80 for his efforts. This was typical Caliendo weather and throwing the rain in made for high scores despite 9 guys electing to play the senior tees. Beer line 81. Ron picked a great day to notch is first Match Play qualifying score. Dennis played a qualifying round. Ron Sr and Dave played and probably wished they were in AZ and SC and Larry and Billy decided that they had enough after 4 holes.
