Another 1 hr. frost delay. Mike Jeffries finishes 2 strokes behind someone else. Overall a generally good weather day for December. LT shows up on time, must be the late time plus the 1 hr. frost delay. Andrew Keller used his trusty 6 iron to finish in the top half - way to go- just ditch the rest of the bag and play on. Oh - almost forgot - nice round MR
December 7, 2017 (Rumson Country Club)
Mike Jeffries wins by 5 over Petro but he wins almost as much by winning a couple of pots. This is a very challenging private course - the winds blew constantly and changed every shot including puts. The greens had been rolled and almost every approach putt rolled 3 to 10 feet by.
Only 5 shots separate all 7 players on the same course we played for World Series. Mike, Petro and Dan survive to tie for the win. Greens were frozen to start, thawed during the round then started to freeze again near the end. Sunny and pleasant winter weather without a lot of wind.
Mike Jeffries survives the cold to win. Frozen fairways, frozen greens, wind chill below 10 and a tight course made for some very high scores. The distance between holes added to the fun.
